Articles

I started freelance writing way back in 2010, when I wrote everything from gardening guides to travel listicles for a variety of clients. Unfortunately, I didn’t always get a byline for my work — but it was a fantastic way to meet people and build my writing muscle.

Since then, I have been fortunate to write news, features, and reviews for several entertainment outlets and blogs. I have also published more than 100 articles on my own blog Robo?beat, which I launched in 2012 and still update whenever I have time and feel inspired.

I write on a variety of topics, but particular areas of interest are writing, gaming, books, lifestyle, and entertainment. Here are just a few examples of my work.

Game Manuals

In my role as writer and editor at the creative services agency Off Base Productions, one of my jobs was to write instruction manuals for video games. Playing early builds of games before release, I crafted straightforward yet engaging descriptions of game mechanics in these guides.

These were originally released as small booklets inside the physical game cases. Eventually, my company created an online content management system (CMS) where we could publish digital manuals for Playstation.

These are just a few of the dozens of game manuals I wrote during my four years at Off Base.
